With the game of hockey being played at a fast and skilled pace, the standards for goaltenders are the highest they have ever been.

Goaltenders who look to reach an elite level need to be well-rounded athletes, determined competitors, and humble contributors.

They must be dynamic, self-aware and driven to succeed.

They need to have an increased understanding of the game and challenge their IQ.

The requirements of their bodies, must equal the demands of the game.

At Legend Hockey, we prepare promising young goaltenders to rise to the standards of their sport and be ahead of the curve, with goalie-specific training from top-tier professionals in world-class facilities.

The Legend Hockey Elite Goalie Camp is designed to help gifted athletes reach their greatest potential through access to top-tier coaches, world-class training facilities, and comprehensive instruction.

The number one goal of the Elite Goalie Camp is total goaltender development, from position-specific skills, to fitness and nutrition, to mindset and character. Our program holds athletes to the highest standard in performance and attitude, preparing them to advance to the highest levels of the game through focused, purpose-driven training.

Access to Elite Goalie Coaches

Our Elite Goalie Camp provides on-ice training led by Dave Rogalski, NHL Goaltending Coach, 2019 Stanley Cup Champion Goaltending Development Coach with the St. Louis Blues, who brings together his team of professional goaltender coaches who have developed elite and pro-level goalies.

World-Class Facilities

Participants in the Elite Goalie Camp enjoy access to world-class training facilities at the renowned Sanford Sports Complex in Sioux Falls.

All on-ice training is located at SCHEELS IcePlex.

Off-ice fitness training is located at Sanford FIELDHOUSE, home to Sanford POWER Academies. This state-of-the-art facility includes 62,000 square feet of professional grade Field Turf, full amenity locker rooms, and an impressive staff of experts in fitness training, sports medicine, nutrition, and sports science.

Legend Hockey trainees will discover what it’s like to live the life of a full-time athlete, from practicing in an innovative training environment to accessing insights from leading specialists.

Comprehensive Goaltender Training

Our Elite Goalie Camp challenges athletes to set new standards in personal performance, work ethic, and attitude. Coaches, scouts, and instructors push goalies to adopt a multi-dimensional approach to training, preparing them to compete as well-rounded athletes.

The Elite Goalie Camp format includes:

  • On-ice training every day, led by professional goaltender coaches

  • Off-ice strength, speed, and reaction training through Sanford POWER at the world-class Sanford FIELDHOUSE facility

  • Nutrition Class with an expert Sports Dietician (College/Junior/Midget group only)

  • Daily Classroom sessions with guest speakers, emphasizing leadership and development

  • Lunch provided (College/Junior/Midget only)

  • Receive a Legend Hockey Elite Goalie jersey
